DM1 and DM2 are the evolution in instrumentation, achieved by the Magnetic Hyperthermia Group, from the Aragón Institute for Research on Nanosciences, since its creation in 2005. The specific needs on equipment suitable for the process of applying, measuring and analysing results were studied and solved one by one, until the concept of integral equipment for magnetic hyperthermia was achieved. It gave origin to the DM100 Series, which is now endorsed with published results on characterization of nanostructured materials, experiments with cellular cultures, parasithology, among other fields.

DM Series equipments apply a user-adjustable magnetic field from 0 to 100 gauss, on a fixed frequency of 250 or 500 kHz, and perform in situ temperature measure through an advanced optical fiber system, without metallic parts and with a negligible thermic mass.

The information on temperature, time, field and incidences is collected and stored up, and it can be processed with a computer, which can also be used to program and automatize tests on intensity curves, sampling frequency, pauses, etc.

The DM1 model has all the instruments needed to perform experiments on magnetic hyperthermia in fluids.

Aside from the services common to all products from the DM100 Series, the DM1 has an exclusive adiabatic system designed for studying samples such as ferrofluids or any other liquid system.

Its practical system of sample holder capsules facilitates handling and classifying samples.

 

The DM2 model is designed for tests with in vitro samples.

In the sample compartment, the DM2 can accommodate the same capsule in which the culture has been made, and perform the test with the whole range of features of the DM100 Series.
